Description
The SL20 Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV) is a compact, auto-pilot survey platform designed for one-person operation and rapid deployment in hydrographic velocity and flow measurements, as well as underwater mapping. Built for efficiency, it supports both remote control and fully autonomous missions, making it ideal for professional survey work in varied environments.
A 17.7 cm moonpool allows for flexible integration of a wide range of instruments, including ADCPs and single-beam echo sounders. With real-time data telemetry to the base station, operators can monitor progress and results instantly, whether working in manual or auto-pilot mode.
Weighing just 17 kg and measuring 1 metre in length, the SL20 is lightweight and highly portable, enabling easy transport and operation by a single user. Its power-efficient design supports up to 6 hours of endurance at 3 knots, ensuring reliable performance in the field.
Optimised for extremely shallow waters, the SL20 has a draft of only 15 cm, allowing surveys in areas inaccessible to larger vessels. A duct-type thruster delivers speeds of up to 4 m/s, while built-in propeller protection prevents entanglement with aquatic vegetation and debris.
The SL20 USV combines portability, precision, and autonomy, making it a dependable solution for fast, efficient hydrographic surveys in confined inland waterways to open survey zones.
