Description
TR45 TIMER RELEASE
Solid-State Underwater Timer-Based Release with Programmable Electrolytic Activation
The TR45 Timer Release is a compact, cost-efficient underwater release system that activates after a pre-programmed time interval, offering a reliable alternative to acoustic systems. Ideal for marine operations where timed retrieval is sufficient, the TR45 is deployed underwater with a preset time-until-release (TUR), programmed via the TRP-45C unit through direct contact before deployment.
Once submerged, the internal microcomputer begins counting down, and upon reaching the selected TUR, initiates a solid-state electrolytic erosion process that severs a replaceable metal link. Typical link erosion time is 10–30 minutes depending on the link type. The unit includes a screw-on retainer cap for easy link replacement, and operates only in salt or brackish water.
With no mechanical parts, the TR45 ensures highly reliable performance without the risk of fouling. Timing can be selected in 7.5-minute steps from 0 to 170 days, with an exceptional timing accuracy of ±2 minutes per month. Powered by 3 lithium AA batteries, the system offers up to four years of operational battery life.
