The MARVEL-MBES AUV offers a user-friendly, reliable platform for high-resolution seabed mapping, combining advanced sonar technology with precise navigation and communication to enable efficient and repeatable underwater surveys. MARVEL-MBES AUV uses a multibeam echo sounder from Imagenex to map the seabed with high stability and accuracy. It features underwater acoustic positioning, 8 hours autonomy, 6 knots speed, and 300 m depth rating. Navigation accuracy is within 5 m USBL range.
